INFORMATIONS ADDITIONNELLES QUE VOUS DEVEZ SAVOIR
Maintenant que vous avez maîtrisé les procédures de fonctionnement, voici quelques autres caractéristiques
s
ous votre contrôle que vous devriez savoir.
• La télécommande est opérationnelle pour tous les options du panneau de contrôle, suivre les mêmes instructions.
• L'appareil va maintenir n'importe quelle température se situant entre 60°F et 90°F degrés (refroidissement),
55°F et 80°F (chauffage).
• L'appareil peut afficher la température en celsius ou en fahrenheit. Pour changer la température d'affichage, tenir
enfoncés les boutons up et down pendant 3 secondes.
• Les instructions d'installation et d'usage de ce produit sont fournis par le manufacturier.
COMPRESSEUR
Le compresseur est scélé hermétiquement, lubrifié de
manière permanente et ne requiert aucun huilage
additionnel.
PANNEAU FRONTAL ET GRILLE
Le panneau frontal et la grille peuvent être nettoyés
avec un savon ou détergent doux. Ne pas utiliser de
solvants (comme par exemple de l'acétone, benzène,
naphta ou gasoline, etc.) pour nettoyer les pièces.
Soyez prudents lors du nettoyage. Ne pas utiliser de
chiffon trop imbibé d'eau.
ENTRETIEN PRÉVU
Pour fournir une performance continue et conserver sa
haute efficacité, un calendrier d'entretien et d'inspection
devrait être établi. Maintenir ce calendrier peut être
accompli par un employé local spécialisé ou un centre
de service autorisé et doit suivre les instructions
décrites dans le présent manuel.
• Si l'appareil est utilisé dans un endroit poussiéreux,
la poussière peut s'accumuler au fond et obstruer la
bobine du condenseur. Il serait prudent de retirer
l'unité du manchon et de laver minutieusement le
fond et le condenseur.
• Si l'unité est installée près de l'océan ou dans un
climat corrosif, sa durée de vie pourrait être grande-
ment réduite. Avec ces conditions, l'unité devrait être
enlevée du manchon et lavée complètement un fois
par année. À ce moment, les égratignures sur les
surfaces peintes devraient être sablées et repeintes.
Laver la bobine extérieure
Les bobines du côté extérieur du climatiseur devraient
être vérifiées régulièrement. Pour nettoyer la bobine
extérieure, enlever les 6 vis qui retiennent le dessus de
la bobine du condenseur à l'enveloppe du condenseur.
Conditions normales d'utilisation
BRUITS DE GARGOUILLEMENT
Le bruit du réfrigérant se promenant dans les tuyaux.
Ceci est un son normal qui peut être entendu pendant
quelques secondes après que l'unité soit éteinte.
BRUIT DE L'EAU S'ÉCOULANT GOUTTE À GOUTTE
Ce bruit est produit par l'eau qui se promène à travers
les bobines. Cette procédure améliore l'efficacité de l'u-
nité et aide le retrait d'eau.
EAU QUI S'ÉGOUTTE
Durant les journées très humides, l'eau s'accumulera
au fond.
DÉLAI DE DÉPART
Vous allez probablement noter un court délai au départ
si vous essayez de rallumer l'unité trop rapidement
après l'avoir arrêtée ou si vous ajustez le thermostat
après l'arrêt du compresseur. Ce délai protège le
compresseur.
OBTENIR DU SERVICE
Dans le cas improbable où l'unité aurait besoin d'être
réparée et que vous ne trouvez pas de réponse grâce
à ce manuel, s.v.p. contactez un centre de service.
Pour connaître le centre de service autorisé, contactez
votre magasin ou votre représentant des ventes.
Le circuit cool possède un délai automatique de départ de 3 minutes si l'unité est
éteinte ou allumée rapidement. Ceci prévient le surchauffage du compresseur
et le déclenchement possible du disjoncteur. Le ventilateur continue à fonctionner
durant ce temps.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Now that you have mastered the operating procedure, here are more features in your control that you should know.
• The Remote Control will operate ali the control panel features, follow the same instructions.
• The control will maintain any set temperature between 60°F and 90°F degrees (cooling), 55°F and 80°F (heating) .
• The control is capable of displaying temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or degrees Celsius. To convert from
one to the other, press and hold the Up and Down Temperature Selection Pads at the same time for 3
seconds.
• Instructions for installation and use of this product are provided by the manufacturer .
COMPRESSOR
The compressor is hermetically sealed, permanently
lubricated and requires no additional oiling.
FRONT PANEL AND GRILLE
The front panel and gri lle can be cleaned with a mild
soap or detergent. Do not use hydrocarbon-based
cleaners (e.g. acetone, benzene, naphtha, gasoline,
etc.) to clean the front panel or grille. Use care when
cleaning the control area.
Do not use an excessively wet cleaning cloth.
SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
To achieve continuing top performance and high effi-
ciency, a regular cleaning/inspection schedule must be
established. Maintaining this schedule can be accom-
plished by either a local maintenance staff or an
authorized servicer and must follow the instructions
described in this mauual.
• If the unit is operated in a dusty climate, dust may
collect in the basepan and clog the condenser co il. lt
is advisable to remove the unit from the sleeve and
thoroughly clean the basepan and condenser coil on
a periodic basis.
• If the unit is installed ocean side or in a corrosive
atmosphere, its life may be greatly reduced by the
corrosive environ ment. Un der these conditions, the
unit should be removed from the sleeve and
completely cleaned once a year. At that time any
scratches or blisters on the painted surfaces should
be sanded and repainted.
OUTDOOR COlL CLEANING
The coils on the outdoor side of the air conditioner
should be checked regularly. For cleaning outside coil,
remove the 6 screws th at mount the condenser co il
top cover to condenser shroud.
Normal Operating Sounds and Conditions
POPPING OR GURGLING SOUNDS
This sound is the refrigerant traveling through the lines.
This is a normal sound which may be heard for a few
seconds after the unit shuts off.
WATER TRICKLING SOUNDS
This sound is produced by the water as it is picked up
and run over the coils. This procedure improves the
efficiency of the unit and helps with water removal.
WATER DRIPPING
Water will collect in the basepan du ring high humidity
days.
STARTING DELAY
You may notice a short delay in the startup if you try
to restart the unit too soon after turning it off or if you
ad just the thermostat right after the compressor has
shut off. This delay protects the compressor.
Obtaining Service
ln the unlikely event this unit requires repair or
servicing beyond what is covered in this manual,
contact an authorized service organization.
To obtain an authorized servicer, contact your sales
representative or agency.
The "Cool "circuit hasan automatic 3 minute ti me delayed start if the unit is turned off
and on quickly. This prevents overheating of the compressor and possible circuit
breaker tripping. The fan will continue to run du ring this time.
