How to troubleshoot GreenWorks GPW1804 motor that will not start?
    • T
      Taylor JonesAug 6, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer motor won't start, first ensure the On/Off switch is in the “ON” (|) position. Check that the power cord is securely plugged in and that the electrical outlet provides adequate power; try a different outlet if needed. Also, the pressure washer circuit breaker might have tripped, so allow it to cool before restarting. If the power switch is ON but the gun trigger isn't squeezed, push in on the gun trigger to engage the AUTO ON switch.

Why does my GreenWorks Pressure Washer output pressure vary high and low?
    • J
      Jason ReynoldsAug 14, 2025
If the GreenWorks Pressure Washer's output pressure varies, first, ensure there's enough inlet water supply by fully opening the water source and checking the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. If the pump is sucking air, turn the machine off and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger on the spray wand. Also, verify that only the pressure washer is running on the circuit to ensure adequate supply voltage. Chemical build-up in the spray tip can also cause pressure variations, so run distilled vinegar through the detergent tank.

Why GreenWorks Pressure Washer unit does not reach high pressure?
    • T
      Tammy RothAug 21, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer isn't reaching high pressure, the diameter of your garden hose might be too small; replace it with a 1” (25 mm) or 5/8” (16 mm) garden hose. Also, check the garden hose for any restrictions like kinks, leaks, or blockages that might be limiting the water supply. Ensure that the water source is fully open to provide enough water. Lastly, make sure the pressure tip is correctly installed on the wand assembly.

What to do if my GreenWorks Pressure Washer motor buzzes but fails to run?
    • F
      fjohnsonAug 29, 2025
If the motor of your GreenWorks Pressure Washer buzzes but fails to run, verify that only the pressure washer is running on the circuit to ensure adequate supply voltage. If the system has residual pressure, turn the unit off, squeeze the trigger on the spray wand to release the pressure, then turn the unit back on. Unplug any extension cords and plug the unit directly into the outlet to prevent voltage loss. You can try to disconnect the water supply and power on for 2 to 3 seconds, repeat a couple of times or until the motor starts to fix residual friction among components.
