How to fix GreenWorks GPW1802 motor that will not start?
    • D
      Debra SimmonsJul 29, 2025
If the GreenWorks Pressure Washer motor won't start, first ensure the On/Off switch is in the “ON” ( | ) position. Next, check that the power cord is properly plugged in. If it still doesn't work, try a different electrical outlet to rule out power supply issues. Also, check the pressure washer circuit breaker, and allow the unit to cool before restarting. Finally, with the power switch ON, push in on the gun trigger to engage the AUTO ON switch.

What to do if GreenWorks GPW1802 Pressure Washer motor buzzes but won't run?
    • G
      gregory98Aug 4, 2025
If the GreenWorks Pressure Washer buzzes but fails to run, verify that only the pressure washer is running on the circuit to ensure adequate supply voltage. If that’s not the issue, turn the unit “OFF”, squeeze the trigger on the spray wand to release any residual pressure, then turn the unit “ON”. Also, unplug any extension cords and plug the unit directly into the outlet. If the pressure washer has not been used for a long period, call customer service. Alternatively, disconnect the water supply and power it ON for 2 to 3 seconds, repeating a couple of times until the motor starts to resolve residual friction among components.

Why GreenWorks GPW1802 Pressure Washer not reaching high pressure?
    • J
      John RiveraAug 10, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer isn't reaching high pressure, replace the garden hose with a 1” (25 mm) or 5/8” (16 mm) garden hose if the current one is too small in diameter. Also, check the garden hose for any kinks, leaks, or blockages that may be restricting the water supply. Make sure that you fully open the water source. Finally, ensure that the pressure tip has been correctly installed on the wand assembly.

What causes GreenWorks Pressure Washer output pressure to vary?
    • S
      Stephanie WatsonAug 15, 2025
If the output pressure of your GreenWorks Pressure Washer varies high and low, first ensure that you turn the water on fully, and check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages to ensure enough inlet water supply. If that's not the issue, the pump might be sucking air; turn OFF the machine, and purge the pump by squeezing through the spray tip. Also, verify that only the pressure washer is running on the circuit to ensure adequate supply voltage. Running distilled vinegar through the detergent tank may also help.
