Why won't my GreenWorks GPW1954 Pressure Washer motor start?
    • P
      penningtonstevenAug 6, 2025
There are several reasons why the motor on your GreenWorks Pressure Washer might not start: * The On/Off switch may be in the “OFF” (O) position. If so, set the switch to the “ON” ( | ) position. * The power cord may not be plugged in. Ensure the power cord is properly plugged into an outlet. * The electrical outlet may not be supplying enough power. Try a different outlet. * The pressure washer circuit breaker might have tripped. Allow the unit to cool down, and then restart it. * The power switch is ON, but the gun trigger is not squeezed. With the power switch ON, push in on the gun trigger to engage the AUTO ON switch.

Why GreenWorks GPW1954 unit does not reach high pressure?
    • H
      Heidi Williams DDSAug 12, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer isn't reaching high pressure, here are a few things to check: * The diameter of your garden hose might be too small. Replace it with a 1” (25 mm) or 5/8” (16 mm) garden hose. * The water supply could be restricted. Inspect the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. * There might not be enough water supply. Fully open the water source. * A pressure tip might not be installed on the wand assembly. Add the desired pressure tip to the end of the wand. * The water intake filter could be clogged. Remove the filter and rinse it in warm water.

What to do if my GreenWorks GPW1954 Pressure Washer motor buzzes but fails to run?
    • I
      Isaac GreenAug 18, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer motor buzzes but doesn't run, consider these potential causes: * The supply voltage may be below the minimum. Verify that only the pressure washer is running on this circuit. * The system might have residual pressure. Turn the unit “OFF”, squeeze the trigger on the spray wand to release the pressure, and then turn the unit “ON” again. * Voltage loss may be due to an extension cord. Unplug any extension cords and plug the unit directly into the outlet. * Residual friction among components. Disconnect water supply and power ON for 2 to 3 seconds, repeat couple times or until the motor starts.

What to do if my GreenWorks GPW1954 output pressure varies high and low?
    • A
      Amanda WrightAug 30, 2025
If the output pressure of your GreenWorks Pressure Washer is fluctuating, consider the following: * Ensure there is enough inlet water supply by turning the water on fully and checking the garden hose for any kinks, leaks, or blockages. * The pump may be sucking air. Check that all hoses and fittings are airtight. Turn the machine “OFF” and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the spray tip. * The water inlet filter may be clogged. Remove the filter and rinse it in warm water. * The supply voltage may be below the minimum requirement. Verify that only the pressure washer is running on the circuit. * The gun, hose, or power spray tip could be calcified. Run distilled vinegar through the detergent tank.
