TROUBLESHOOTING GRIFCO L SERIES/MERLIN
Your garage door operator is programmed with Self Diagnostic capabilities.
The UP and Down Arrows (LS-Drive, MS65MYQ, MS105MYQ, MS125MYQ, MJ3800MYQ) on the control panel will flash the diagnostic
codes
The LEDs 1 & 3 (LR-Drive, MR655MYQ, MR855MYQ) on the control panel will flash the diagnostic code
UP Arrow/
LED 1
Down Arrow/
LED 3
Symptom Possible Resolution
1 1 The garage door operator will not close
and the courtesy light flashes
Safety sensors are open circuit or wires may be cut.
Inspect sensor wires for a disconnected or cut wire.
Turn power off and reboot the operator
1 2 The garage door operator will not close
and the courtesy light flashes
There is a short circuit on the wire for the safety
sensors. Inspect safety wire at all staple points and
replace wire or correct as needed.
Turn power off and reboot the operator
1 4 The garage door operator will not close
and the courtesy light flashes
Safety Sensors are misaligned or were momentarily
obstructed. Realign both sensors to ensure both LED
