2. Downloading the firmware package
The firmware package is downloaded from Grundfos Technical
Information (GTI) which is found on Insite under "Toolbox", "LC
Controller (LC 231/241/232/242) Firmware Upgrade".
In GTI, there are two files that contain firmware:
• "LCLCD.zip" contains firmware for both LC 231 and LC 241 (CU
241), including IO 241 and IO 242.
• "SPC.zip" contains firmware for both LC 232 and LC 242 (CU
242), including IO 241 and IO 242.
1. Go to Grundfos Insite and select "Toolbox".
2. Select "GTI - Grundfos Technical information".
3. Select "LC Controller (LC 231/241/232/242) Firmware Upgrade".
4. Select either "LCLCD.zip" for LC 231/LC 241 or "SPC.zip" for
LC 232/242.
5. Download the file to your PC and unzip the folder.
6. Copy the folders you need (LCLCD or SPC) to a USB stick.
The firmware package consists of one ZIP file which should
be unzipped and copied to a USB stick. The USB stick should
contain one folder called "LCLCD" or "SPC", which contains all
the binary files for updating. The .cbin and .xcbin files are the
firmware files, and the autorun.txt file contains information
about hardware and software.
