Example of maximum motor load
Pump with a 2.2 kW IE3 motor (derating curve 2):
If this pump is installed 4750 m above sea level,
the motor must not be loaded more than 88 % of
the rated output.
At an ambient temperature of 75 °C, the motor
must not be loaded more than 78 % of the rated
output.
If the pump is installed 4750 m above sea level at
an ambient temperature of 75 °C, multiply the
derating factors. The motor must not be loaded
more than 88 % × 78 % = 68.6 % of the rated
output.
If the motor load is not reduced in case the
ambient temperature or installation altitude
is exceeded, the motor life will be limited,
and the warranty is void.
