Troubleshooting
PROBLEM POSSIBLE REASON POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Trimmer fails to operate
1. Battery flat
2. Cord not connected to battery pack
3. Faulty switch
1. Recharge battery
2. Check connection of cord
3. Switch in handle will ‘click’ if
operating properly
Cutting blade
excessivley hot
1. Lack of lubrication
2. Blade damaged
3. Blade blunt
1. Clean and lubricate blade
2. Replace blade
3. Replace blade
Cutting time low
1. Battery not fully charged
2. Blade needs lubrication
3. Overloaded motor
4. Battery damaged or not holding charge
1. Recharge battery
2. Clean and lubricate blade
3. Use lighter cutting action
4. Replace battery
Blade will not move
Do not hold switch on
when blade is jammed
1. Battery flat
2. Blade teeth jammed or damaged
3. Blade corroded or seized
1. Recharge battery
2. Remove obstructions from the
blade (switch tool off!)
3. Replace blade
Battery not charging
1. Charger not well connected to
battery pack.
2. Charger not fully pushed into
mains socket.
3. Mains socket not switched on
4. Defective mains socket, cable,
or charger
5. Charger faulty
1. Check charger plug is well
connected to battery pack
2. Push the charger fully into
mains socket
3. Switch on mains socket
4. Consult a qualified electrician
to check the socket. Contact
customer service centre or dealer.
5. Charger should feel warm
when charging correctly.
If the product needs to be repaired or replaced only use parts which are approved
by the manufacturer.
