What to do if Gude Log Splitter fails to split?
- CCrystal LawsonAug 9, 2025
If the Gude Log Splitter fails to split the log, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the log is positioned correctly. If the log is too large or the wood is too hard for the machine's capacity, try cutting a smaller piece or use other methods to reduce the log's size. Also, check if the wedge is sharp; sharpen it and file away any burrs or nicks if necessary. If the issue persists, it might be due to an oil leak. Locate the leak using a piece of card or wood. In this case or if the hydraulic pressure is too low, contact your dealer.
