Installing the switch in a 19-inch rack

Requirements for the rack

To close the rack door easily, make sure the rack depth for the S5830V2-24S, S5820V2-52QF

(LS-5820V2-52QF), S5820V2-52QF-U, and S5820V2-52Q switches is a minimum of 1000 mm

(39.37 in).

The distance from the front to the rear posts of the rack must meet the requirements described

in Table 3.

Mounting brackets and rack-mounting rail kit

The S5830V2&S5820V2 switches come with a pair of mounting brackets (see Figure 2) and a

rack-mounting kit that includes a pair of chassis rails and a pair of slide rails (see Figure 3).
