Section 7 Troubleshooting
Table 5 Error messages
Message Possible cause Solution
System error There is a problem with the
electronic components.
Contact technical support.
Measurement failed The sample signal is too low.
The temperature is not stable or is
out of range.
The hardware or electronics are
defective.
Contact technical support.
NO3 is too high The nitrate (NO
3
) concentration is
more than the maximum limit.
Measure the concentration of a grab sample.
Check the measurement path and clean if
necessary.
Calibrate the sensor.
NO3 is too low The nitrate (NO
3
) concentration is
less than the minimum limit.
NO2 is too high The nitrite (NO
2
) concentration is
more than the maximum limit.
NO2 is too low The nitrite (NO
2
) concentration is
less than the minimum limit.
NOx is too high The nitrate (NOx) concentration is
more than the maximum limit.
NOx is too low The nitrate (NOx) concentration is
less than the minimum limit.
Unstable
measurement
(sc200/sc1000:
UNSTABLE)
The particles in the medium cause
the measurement to change
continuously.
Check the sensor location and if necessary,
measure with filtration (bypass, flow through
cell).
Matrix calibration A matrix calibration is necessary. Complete a matrix calibration. First delete all
existing calibration points when the probe is
moved to a different environment or the matrix
changes significantly.
