8.1 Preparation for Disassembly of the Valve
The disassembly of the valve inset is described in this chapter.

Warning - Danger from electrical current!
Before disassembly, the connections for auxiliary energy and the supply pipes (electric,
pneumatic, CIP) should be separated from the double-seat valve.

Dismantle the CIP collecting pipe [45] and the overflow pipes [43, 44].
2 Remove the upper screws [3] from the valve inset and valve housing [1]; pull up
the valve inset completely out of the valve housing. For large nominal sizes
(from DN 100) remove the actuator case separately.
3 For lower lip sealings:
Unscrew the lower bolt [3] from the lower bushing [2] and the valve housing [1];
pull down the bushing. This step is only necessary if the seals in the lower
bushing are changed.
Caution – Damage to components!
Do not damage the valve disks and balancer!
