What causes a High Humidity Alarm on the Left or Right Tower of my HANKISON HBP1500?
    • R
      Ryan LyonsAug 21, 2025
If the HANKISON Dehumidifier displays a High Humidity Alarm on either the Left or Right Tower, this could be due to a desiccant bed overload. Check the inlet air flow rate, temperature, and pressure; if the flow and temperature are higher than the design specifications, or the pressure is lower, this can overload the dryer. Another cause could be a damaged or defective dew point sensor or monitor, so examine the sensor for physical damage and check the monitor/sensor operation, replacing them as necessary. Finally, a loss of desiccant drying capacity might be the issue. Check the filter elements and drains for improper filtration causing desiccant contamination, and repair or replace as needed. It may also be that the desiccant's useful life has been exceeded.

What does it mean when my HANKISON Dehumidifier shows a Blower Motor Overload Alarm?
    • S
      shellychavezAug 28, 2025
If the HANKISON Dehumidifier displays a Blower Motor Overload Alarm, it could be due to restricted or blocked purge air flow. Check the intake filter on the blower for dirt; examine the filter element and clean or replace it. It could also be due to a line failure. Check the voltages and currents in the motor circuit.

What causes a Heater Over-Temperature Alarm on my HANKISON HBP1500 Dehumidifier?
    • L
      Lisa SmithSep 2, 2025
If the HANKISON Dehumidifier displays a Heater Over-Temperature Alarm, it could be due to insufficient purge gas flow. Check for purge blockage and temperature sensor failure. Another cause could be a temperature sensor failure; repair and replace as required.

What should I do if my HANKISON HBP1500 displays a Heater Low-Temperature Alarm?
    • C
      Craig BakerSep 4, 2025
If the HANKISON Dehumidifier displays a Heater Low-Temperature Alarm, this could be due to a heating malfunction caused by heater failure or heater contactor failure. Replace the heater or heater contactor. It could also be due to a temperature sensor failure; repair and replace as required.

What does an Energy Management Under-Range or Over-Range Alarm on my HANKISON HBP1500 Dehumidifier mean?
    • K
      Kayla RobertsSep 6, 2025
If the HANKISON Dehumidifier displays an Energy Management Under-Range Alarm or Energy Management Over-Range Alarm, it might be due to an Energy Management sensor failure. Check the circuit for continuity and repair or replace as necessary.

How to troubleshoot indicator lights not illuminated on HANKISON HBP1500?
    • B
      Brittany MckaySep 9, 2025
If the indicator lights on the HANKISON Dehumidifier are not illuminated, there could be several reasons. First, there might be no power to the unit, so check the voltage at the terminal board. Second, there might be a loss of power supply to (or at) the dryer’s electrical disconnect switch or breaker (customer supplied); check if the disconnect switch or breaker is closed, and if a tripped breaker or blown fuse is noted, investigate and remedy the cause. Third, a blown fuse could be the problem, so replace the fuse. Finally, there could be a board malfunction, so replace the board.

What does it mean when my HANKISON Dehumidifier displays a Temperature Under-Range or Over-Range Alarm on the Left or Right Tower?
    • M
      Mark MunozSep 12, 2025
If the HANKISON Dehumidifier shows a Temperature Under-Range or Temperature Over-Range Alarm on either the Left Tower or Right Tower, it could be due to a tower temperature sensor failure. An Under-Range alarm may indicate a short circuit on the sensor, while an Over-Range alarm may indicate an open circuit on the sensor. Check the temperature circuit for continuity and repair or replace as necessary.

What to do if my HANKISON HBP1500 displays a Dew Point Under-Range or Over-Range Alarm during regeneration?
    • C
      Crystal DavisSep 13, 2025
If the HANKISON Dehumidifier displays a Dew Point Under-Range or Dew Point Over-Range Alarm on either the Left Tower or Right Tower while regenerating, it could be due to an Energy Management temperature sensor (RTD4) failure. Check the temperature circuit for continuity and repair or replace as necessary.

Why is there excessive pressure drop in my HANKISON HBP1500?
    • N
      Natalie KhanSep 16, 2025
If you're experiencing excessive pressure drop in your HANKISON Dehumidifier, it could be due to a couple of reasons. The inlet/outlet screens on the desiccant towers might be dirty; clean the screens following the desiccant removal instructions in the Maintenance section. Alternatively, the flow rate might be excessive; check the flow rate of the inlet air and reduce it to the design flow rate.

What to do if the HANKISON HBP1500 Dehumidifier shows an Outlet Dew Point Alarm on the Left or Right Tower?
    • T
      Tristan HudsonNov 18, 2025
If the HANKISON Dehumidifier displays an Outlet Dew Point Alarm on either the Left or Right Tower, several factors could be responsible. It might be due to the inlet air flow being higher than the sizing condition, in which case you should reduce the inlet flow. Another cause could be liquids entering the dryer inlet; inspect the prefilter and drain valve, and clean, repair, or replace the automatic drain valve as needed. The inlet air temperature might be higher than the sizing condition; check the compressor aftercooler and cooling system, and reduce the inlet air temperature. Desiccant dusting can also trigger this alarm, so check the air pressure, airflow, and airflow surges, correcting them as necessary, and consider replacing the desiccant. Contaminated desiccant (e.g., with oil) is ...
