MAGNESIUM
• Press Zero. The display will show “-0.0-” when the meter is zeroed and ready for measurement.
• Remove the cuvette.
• Add 0.5 mL of sample to the cuvette using the second 1 mL syringe.
• Replace the plastic stopper and the cap. Invert several
times to mix.
• Insert the cuvette into the holder and close the lid.
• Press Timer and the display will show the countdown prior to the measurement or wait 15 seconds
and press Read. When the timer ends the meter will perform the reading. The instrument displays
the results in mg/L of magnesium (Mg
2+
).
INTERFERENCES
Interference may be caused by:
• Acidity, Alkalinity above 1000 mg/L CaCO
3
• Calcium above 200 mg/L
• Aluminum, Copper, Iron must be absent
