■ Do not put the appliance in a closet.
■ Never remove the cover that is fas-
tened inside the cooking chamber!
It serves to protect the magnetron,
which emits the microwaves.
■ Do not operate the appliance with an
external timer or a separate remote
control system.
■ If smoke is emitted, turn o or unplug
the appliance and keep the cooking
chamber door closed to smother any
ames.
NOTICE
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage.
■ Do not use sharp objects to unpack
the appliance.
Moving and unpacking
• Move the appliance with the help of a
second person.
• Carefully unpack the appliance and re-
move all packaging, plastic moulding, ad-
hesive strips and foam padding from the
inside, outside and back of the appliance.
Setting up the appliance
Place the appliance on as flat and as firm and
heat-resistant a base as possible.
• Take into account the following points:
– The appliance should not be positioned
directly next to a refrigerator or deep
freezer. The heat emitted from the ap-
pliance would cause unnecessarily high-
er energy consumption by the fridge or
freezer.
– There must be a minimum spacing of 2
m from radio appliances and televisions,
to ensure that the reception is not dis-
torted.
– The base upon which the appliance
should be positioned must be level, suf-
ficiently stable and heat resistant.
– Never remove the adjustable feet.
– When selecting a location for the appli-
ance, please ensure to choose a place
away from heat, steam or high air hu-
midity. The appliance may not be used
outdoors.
– Do not set up the appliance above a hob
or other heat-generating appliances.
This could damage the appliance.
– Please ensure that no highly flammable
materials are located in the vicinity of the
appliance.
– The socket must be near the device and
easily reachable, to allow the plug to be
pulled out quickly in the event of any
malfunction.
– In order to ensure sufficient air circula-
tion, the following minimum lateral and
vertical distances must be complied with:
Upwards: 30 cm
Backwards: 0 cm
To the left: 20 cm
To the right: 20 cm
– As measured from the base, the installa-
tion height must be at least 85 cm.
