Installation, connection and initial commissioning
1. Screw the enclosed water inlet hose onto
the connection (19) by hand. To do so,
turn the union nut (33) clockwise.

2. Secure the other end on the water inlet
hose to the tap by hand. Then turn the
union nut (34) clockwise.
3. Open the valve completely and check
whether the connections on the appliance
and on the valve are sealed.
4. Then close the tap again.
Creating an electrical
connection
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.
Do not put into operation if the
mains cord is faulty or the appliance
displays other visible damage.
Never connect the appliance via a
multiple socket.
Plug the mains plug into a properly in-
stalled and earthed electric socket that
has been sufficiently secured (220–240 V,
50 Hz, 10 A).
First use/Test run
The appliance requires an initial wash cycle
without laundry, but with detergent. The aim
of this is to rinse out possible residues from
production.
1. Dispense a maximum of 25 ml of compact
detergent into the left chamber II.
2. Make sure that the washing drum (17) is
empty.
3. Close the washing drum and fold down
the appliance lid (15).
4. Carry on, as described in chapter “Opera-
tion: Standard cycles” on page EN-18; use
the “Cotton” cycle here.
First use is completed once the cycle has fin-
ished.
