as described in 5.2 for applying the cuff and the information in Chapter8
'Explanation of error messages‘ and repeat the measurement.
I
mportant: Please do not speak or move during the measurement.
Three short beeps indicate that the necessary inflation pressure has been
reached and that measurement is starting.
As the air pressure in the cuff decreases, the heart symbol flashes and the
dropping cuff pressure is displayed.
You can track the measurement progress using the progress bar. This
increases during the inflation phase and decreases in the measuring
phase. During the measuring phase, you will also see the symbols for
the two Duo Sensor Technology measuring methods. These indicate
that the sensors are functioning correctly. In addition, the heart symbol
shows your pulse, which is also measured.
A long beep indicates the end of measurement. After the measurement is
complete, the systolic and diastolic blood pressure values as well as the pulse
rate (see Fig.) are shown on the display at the same time.
The symbol only appears on the display if the Veroval
®
duo control device
does not detect any noticeable body movement during measurement, e.g.,
movement of the hand, arm or upper body. If the rest indicator symbol does
not appear, the measurements may have been affected by body movement.
Therefore, please follow the 10 golden rules (see Chapter5.1) and repeat the
measurement.
The complete ‘Measurement OK‘ symbol only appears on the display
if the cuff has been applied firmly enough and no noticeable body movement
has been detected by the device during the measurement.
