Error Possible causes Remedy
Air is released too fast or too
slowly during the measuring
procedure.
The cuff could have become
detached or loosened.
Movement during the
measuring procedure could also
be the reason.
Error during air release or
unusual reduction in pressure.
Check whether the cuff has
been positioned correctly.
Do not move during the
measurement.
Air tube has not been inserted
into the device correctly or is
kinked.
Check that the connector has
been fitted correctly and ensure
that there are no kinks in the
air tube.
The inflation pressure is higher
than 300mmHg.
The pressure is released
automatically.
Repeat the measurement after
at least 1minute of rest.
If the battery symbol is
flashing, the batteries are
almost empty. Only a few more
measurements can be taken.
Have new batteries of the same
type ready (AA/LR06).
If the battery symbol is
permanently displayed, the
batteries are empty and must
be replaced.
Insert new batteries of the
same type (AA/LR06). Then
check the date/time and, if
necessary, reset them (see
Chapter4).
Implausible
measured values
Implausible measured
values often occur due to
inappropriate handling of the
device or if there are mistakes
in the measuring procedure.
Please note the 10 golden
rules for blood pressure
measurement (see Chapter5.1)
as well as all the important
instructions in Chapter2.
Then repeat the measurement.
If implausible values still occur:
please contact your doctor!
