•Lubricatetheupperhandle.
•Changetheengineoil.
•Replacethecutterbladeorhaveitsharpened(morefrequentlyiftheedgedulls
quickly).
•RefertoyourEngineOperator’sManualforanyadditionalyearlymaintenance
procedures.

2.Disconnectthesparkplugleadfromthesparkplug
(Figure39)beforeperforminganymaintenance
procedure.

3.Afterperformingthemaintenanceprocedure(s),
connectthesparkplugleadtothesparkplug.
Important:Beforetippingthemowertochange
theoilorreplacethecutterblade,allowthefuel
tanktorundrythroughnormalusage.Ifyou
musttipthemowerpriortorunningoutoffuel,
useahandfuelpumptoremovethefuel.Always
tipthemowerontoitssidewiththeairlterup.
Tippingthemowermaycausethefueltoleak.
Petrolisammable,explosiveandcancause
personalinjury.
RuntheenginedryorremovethePetrolwitha
handpump;neversiphon.
