Why won't my Heath Zenith DualBrite 5318 lights come on?
    • C
      Carol RamirezJul 29, 2025
Your Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights might not be turning on because: 1. The light switch is off, so turn it on. 2. The flood lamp is loose or burned out, so check and replace it if needed. 3. The fuse is blown or the circuit breaker is off, so replace the fuse or turn the breaker on. 4. Daylight turn-off is active, so check again after dark. 5. The wiring is incorrect (if it's a new installation), so verify the wiring. 6. The light control is aimed incorrectly, so re-aim it to cover the desired area.

What to do if my Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights stay on continuously?
    • B
      Bradley CareyAug 2, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights stay on continuously, it could be due to the following reasons: 1. A flood lamp is too close to the light control or pointed at objects causing heat, so reposition the lamp. 2. The light control is picking up heat from sources like vents or reflective surfaces, so reduce the range. 3. The light control is in manual mode, so switch it to AUTO.

Why are my Heath Zenith DualBrite 5318 lights flashing on and off?
    • R
      Robert WrightAug 6, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights are flashing on and off, it could be due to these reasons: 1. Heat or light from the flood lamps may be turning the light control on and off, so reposition the flood lamp away from the light control. 2. Heat being reflected from other objects may be turning the light control on and off, so reposition the light control. 3. The light control is in the TEST mode and warming up; flashing is normal under these conditions. 4. Light may be leaking through the flood lamp reflectors, so replace the flood lamps with new high quality PAR 38 lamps. Ensure that the metal lamp protectors are installed.

    • J
      joshuataylorAug 11, 2025
Your Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights might be coming on during the day because: 1. The light control is installed in a dark location; the fixture is operating normally under these conditions. 2. The light control is in TEST mode, so set the control switch to 1, 5, or 10 minutes.

Why do my Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights come on for no apparent reason?
    • S
      Sean TorresAug 14, 2025
Your Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights might be coming on for no reason because: 1. The light control may be sensing small animals or automobile traffic, so re-aim the light control. 2. The range is set too high, so reduce the range. 3. The DualBrite® timer is on; the fixture is operating normally under these conditions.

What to do if my Heath Zenith DualBrite 5318 Home Safety Product lights flash once, then stay off in manual mode?
    • M
      Michael ReedAug 19, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights are flashing once, then staying off in manual mode, it's because the light control is detecting its own lights. Reposition the flood lamps to keep the area below the light control relatively dark.

Why do my Heath Zenith DualBrite 5318 lights turn off too late in Dusk-to-Dawn setting?
    • D
      Dr. Michelle MillerAug 23, 2025
Your Heath Zenith Home Safety Product lights turn off too late in Dusk-to-Dawn setting because the light control may be installed in a relatively dark location. Relocate the light control, or use the 3 hr. or 6 hr. setting.
