High sensitivity settings can also cause this, so reduce the sensitivity. Ensure the light fixture isn't wired through a dimmer or timer; if it is, replace them with a standard on/off switch. Finally, make sure the light fixture is on a circuit without motors, transformers, or fluorescent bulbs.

      Your Heath Zenith Outdoor Light might be activating due to small animals or automobile traffic triggering the motion sensor; try re-aiming the sensor and reducing its sensitivity. If the sensitivity is set too high, reduce it. If the “DUALBRITE” switch is in the 3 hour, 6 hour, or dusk- to-dawn setting, the light fixture is operating normally under these circumstances. The outside temperature being much warmer or cooler than body heat can also cause this, so reduce sensitivity. Also, make sure that the light fixture is not wired through a dimmer or timer. If it is, replace the dimmer or timer with a standard on/off wall switch.
