How to fix Heatmaster Furnace overheating?
    • J
      Julie ReedJul 28, 2025
If your Heatmaster furnace overheats, make sure that all doors are closing properly and that the door gasket is completely sealing. Also, check that the damper plate is opening and closing without hang-ups. Inspect the venting and fan box on the rear of the furnace for air leaks. Verify that the temperature settings are correct: the furnace should be set on Heating Mode (H1) and the high temperature setting should be no higher than 185° F. Check chimney draft, water level, and ensure the door and ash drawer are airtight. Finally, make sure all pumps in the system are running.

      Jeremiah MolinaAug 12, 2025
If the water in your Heatmaster furnace is hot, but the buildings aren't receiving heat, make sure that all pumps in the system are running. Also, check for air in the system at the exchanger by bleeding it off. Check the temperature of the water exiting the furnace, entering the building being heated, and before and after each heat exchanger.

What happens to Heatmaster MF Furnace during a power failure?
    • D
      darryl14Aug 22, 2025
Depending on the system design, a power failure may allow convective circulation. Remember that heating systems cannot dispose of a great deal of heat without the pumps and zone valves, so it's important to resume normal operation of the system.
