- If the battery charge indicator pointer falls below half the green part of the indicator or
lower into the yellow field
- if the battery charge indicator pointer drops to the red field, it is necessary to charge
the battery immediately. Full discharging may permanently damage it
- often during use/season, usually after using the machine
- before storage if the machine will not be used for a long time;
- during long-term storage
- before starting the machine after a long period of inactivity.
• The discharged battery must be recharged as soon as possible.
• An unused battery loses capacity faster than a battery which is being used.
• Charge the battery pack in a dry place with room temperature at 5°C - 40°C.
WARNING! B
Only use the charger supplied with the product!
• It is possible that the battery and/or charger can become moderately warmer during
charging, this is normal and doesn‘t indicate a fault.
• Never cover the charger.
• Significantly reduced machine operating times and accelerated battery charging times
indicate that the battery has a reduced capacity and should be replaced.
• Once every 12 months, preferably at the start of the new season, replace the battery with
a new, identical type. (If the battery has already been in use at least once)
C Don‘t start the machine‘s motor if the battery is charging! The ignition key must be
in the STOP (OFF) position.
CHARGING PROCEDURE
• Charge only when the main switch (ignition) is off. We recommend removing the key.
- Connect the three-pin charger plug (fig. 17D) to the charging connector (fig. 17A) on
the left side of the steering column.
- Plug in the charger. Turn on the power switch (fig. 17E) on the charger. The LED on
the charger lights up (fig. 17D) and the battery starts charging.
- We recommend charging the battery for another 0.5-2 hours after the green light
comes on to ensure that it is fully charged.
- Use the switch to switch off the charger, unplug it from the mains and from the charging
connector of the machine.
Note: I
The charging time is affected by discharge level and battery capacity. Charging
a depleted battery can last up to 10 hours.
SIGNALLING ON THE CHARGER
• Charging is in progress - the light is red.
• The battery is fully charged - the light is green.
