9) SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE
a) Washing the airbag vest
Please follow these instructions to avoid damage to the aibag and the electronic
system. Do not machine wash, do not immerse in water or dry clean. The only
way to clean the airbag vest is with a soft cloth slightly soaked in soap. Do not use
detergents or bleach. Do not put in the dryer or on a radiator. Do not iron. We re-
commend that you dry them on a hanger in a dry place.
b) Annual e-cartridge check
We recommend an annual check of the weight and condition of the cartridge. The
airbag vest must be switched o. Unplug the cartridge and unscrew it. Weigh the
cartridge on an accurate kitchen scale. Make sure the weight of the cartridge is wit-
hin +/- 3 grams for e-60 cc and +/- 5 grams for e-100 cc of the weight indicated on
the cartridge label. Check the appearance of the cartridge: connector wire in good
condition, no corrosion, no dents. If nothing to report, reinstall the cartridge (see
