Overview

This document describes the Heller Ceramic Wall Heater with LED Display 2000W, model number HWH2000. It serves as a user manual, providing essential information for safe operation, installation, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The Heller Ceramic Wall Heater is designed to provide auxiliary heating for indoor spaces. It features a ceramic heating element and an LED display for user interaction. The heater offers multiple operating modes, including fan-only, half-power heating (1000W), and full-power heating (2000W), with an optional swing function for wider heat distribution. It can be controlled via both a control panel on the unit and a remote control.

Key functionalities include:

  • Temperature Control: Users can set a desired temperature ranging from 10°C to 49°C. The heater automatically adjusts its power output (full or half) based on the room temperature relative to the set temperature. It switches off when the room temperature exceeds the set temperature and switches on again when it falls 2°C below.
  • Timer Functions: The heater includes both a turn-on and turn-off timer, allowing users to schedule operation in 1-12 hour increments. If no timer is set, the unit will automatically turn off after 12 hours of continuous operation.
  • Weekly Programming: A sophisticated weekly program function allows users to set specific turn-on and turn-off times, along with desired temperatures, for up to six periods each day of the week. This feature is accessible only via the remote control.
  • Open Window Detection (ErP Function): This energy-saving mode automatically stops heating and enters standby if it detects a significant temperature drop (5-10°C within 10 minutes), indicating an open window. The appliance will resume its previous working mode once the condition is no longer met.
  • Safety Features: The heater is equipped with overheat protection, which automatically switches off the heating in case of severe overheating.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Remote Control Battery: 1 x CR2025 3V lithium battery.

Usage Features:

  • Control Panel & Remote Control: The heater can be operated using buttons on the unit's control panel or the provided remote control. The remote control offers more advanced features like weekly programming and temperature control.

  • First Use: A "new heater" smell may be present during the first few uses, which is normal and will dissipate with good ventilation.
  • Placement Restrictions: Must not be located immediately below a socket outlet, used near water (bathtubs, pools), or covered. A minimum distance of 1m in front and 50cm from sides/rear to combustible materials is required.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Cleaning: The heater requires regular cleaning to ensure trouble-free operation.
  • Cleaning Procedure:
    • Unplug the heater from the mains supply and ensure it has cooled down completely.
    • Use a damp (not wet) cloth to wipe the exterior to remove dust and dirt.
    • Do not allow water or other liquids to enter the housing or control panel.
    • Ensure the heater is completely dry before plugging it back into the mains supply.
  • Prohibited Cleaning Agents: Do not use harsh detergents, chemical cleaners, or solvents, as they can damage the surface finish.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, the heater should be protected from dust and stored in a clean, dry place.
  • Overheat Protection Reset: If the heater switches off due to overheating, allow it to cool down and remove any obstructions. The thermal cutoff will automatically reset, and the heater should resume normal operation. If it does not, contact customer service.
  • Cord and Plug Inspection: Regularly check the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. Do not use the appliance if damaged and return it for inspection or replacement.
  • Battery Replacement: The remote control battery (CR2025) should be replaced as needed, following the polarity indicated in the diagram. Used batteries should be disposed of safely and kept out of reach of children.
