Important! Always handle blood specimens with care, they might be infectious.
Consult local environmental authorities for proper disposal. Always wear protective
gloves when handling blood specimens. The microcuvette is for single use only.

1. Make sure the patient’s hand is warm and relaxed. Use only the middle or ring finger
for sampling. Avoid fingers with rings on.
2. Clean fingertip with disinfectant and allow to dry completely or wipe off with a dry,
lint-free wipe.
3. Using your thumb, lightly press the finger from the top of the knuckle towards the tip.
