4. Sample at the side of the fingertip.
5. While applying light pressure towards the fingertip, puncture the finger using a lancet*.
6. Wipe away the first two or three drops of blood.
7. Re-apply light pressure towards the fingertip until another drop of blood appears.
*In order to obtain a sufcient blood ow and representative sample, high ow lancet with
blade is preferred.
