What to do if HERO D23 colorant does not dispense easily?

  If the HERO Dispenser doesn't dispense colorant easily, it might be due to a clogged or too small nozzle. Try clearing the nozzle of any obstructions. If the issue persists, use a larger nozzle; three extra nozzles are supplied with the unit. Another cause could be that the colorant is too heavy. In this case, thoroughly clean out the canister and refill it with new colorant.

  If you notice intermittent spurts of colorant from the nozzle during dispensing with your HERO Dispenser, it could be due to a low colorant level, which allows air into the pump cylinder. To fix this, fill the canister and operate the plunger several times without opening the valve. Then, dispense colorant into a paper cup to remove the air. Alternatively, the pump might not be properly primed; in this case, prime the pump.
