Minimum Distance from lateral bounds
The microwave field of the volume sensing head MOIST-PM V2 has significant lateral
extent. Therefore a minimum distance from lateral bounds must be kept to avoid
distortions of the measurement.
Simplified the interaction volume can be considered as a cylinder of a radius of about 10
... 15 cm. Therefore the minimum distance to lateral bounds is given with 10 cm.
Moisture measurement at a lower distance from lateral bounds of the test object can
cause a falsification of measured data.
For a reliable and exact measurement with the volume sensing head MOIST-P
make sure that the volume of the test object is large enough!
