3 GSM Modem Installation
3.1 Hardware Installation
GSM MODEM is a physical device for sending short messages. With industrial level GSM module
embedded and a simplified communication interface, the GSM Module works with high stability and
meets various commercial or industrial application requirements.
This Document gives example of a certain kind of GSM modem, and for the other GSM modems,
the installation and configuration steps are similar.
3.1.1 GSM Modem Description
The sample GSM modem is displayed as below (Figure 3-1).

And the power supply cable is displayed as below (Some GSM modems also support USB power
