5. Press [Update](F4 key), so that the following screen with a confirmation message appears.

6. Press [ENTER] key, so that the update is started, and LEDs of [MEAS], [SYSTEM], [FILE], [HOLD],
[SHIFT], [AUTO(U/I)] and [START/STOP] keys are lit.
Do not turn off the power while LEDs are lit.
If the update is failed, the unit shall be sent to HIOKI to repair and adjust.

7. Update is completed in about 1 minute, and LEDs will be turned off.
Remove the CF card or USB memory stick, and turn off and on the power again.
“BACKUP ERROR system Initialized.” Appears when rebooting, but this is the correct action after the
firmware update. The message will be changed to “BACKUP PASS” from next time.
8. Confirm the version number in the setting screen by pressing [SYSTEM] key when the measurement screen
is displayed.
