Block configuration
A block configuration supports the Fibre Channel and Internet Small
Computer System Interface (iSCSI) protocols, and consists of:
Two controllers
One or more drive trays
One 1U block service processor server (SVP)
File- and block-level configuration
A file-level access configuration includes NAS modules that support file
system protocols such as CIFS, NFS, and FIP and operate across a block-level
setup using iSCSI or FC connections.

One 1U block service processor server (SVP)
Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G800 model
The storage system consists of a 4U enclosure that includes two controllers,
two optional NAS modules, but no disk drives. Drives are supported using
drive trays connected to the controllers. The CBLH can be expanded by
mounting a host port expansion chassis.
The storage system supports 512 GB of high-speed memory cache, arranged
as 256 GB per controller. Storage system interfaces are shown in the
following table. The maximum number of ports can be increased by
connecting a host port expansion chassis.
