BEFORE PLAYING DISCS |

@ AUTOMATIC MECHANISM
The
first
time
you
play
a
disc
after
installing
the
turntable,
the
automatic mechanism will not operate properly. Therefore,
before playing.the disc, please perform the following opera-
tions. .
@
Set
the
turntable
to
the
disc
play
mode
and
the
Cueing
button
@) to
the
‘"¥'(.22)
position.
@
Move
the
tonearm
manually
until
it
reaches
the
label
on
the
disc.
The
tonearm
will
automatically
return
to
the
arm
rest
and
the
automatic mechanism will enter normal stand-by.
NOTE:
The
tonearm
may
not
automatically
return
to
the
arm
rest
after
a
disc
which
does
not
conform
to
IEC
standards
has
been
played.
In
cases
like
this,
or
when
you
wish
to
stop
playback
of 17 cm (7") discs, perform the above operations @ and ®.
1. Place a disc on the platter mat.
2.
Select
the
Speed
select
button
©),
matching
the
speed
to
the
disc.
3.
Remove
the
tonearm
from
the
Arm
rest
@
and
set
the
Cueing
button
@
to
“’¥"(.21.).
When
the
tonearm
is
mov-
ed
above
the
disc,
the
Platter
starts
to
rotate.
4.
When
the
Cueing
button.@
is
set
to
W’’(£1),
the
- tonearm descends and play starts.
@ TO STOP PLAYING FOR A WHILE
Set
the
Cueing
button
@
to
'¥."(.e1.).
The
tonearm
rises
and
the
disc
stops
playing.

When the sound becomes distorted or noisy, check the stylus.
lf worn out, replace it with a new one.
MAINTENANCE
1. Clean the stylus periodically with a soft brush to prevent
the accumulation of dust.
2. From time to time, the dust cover and turntable cabinet
should be Wiped with a soft, dry cloth.
CAUTIONS
# HOWLING
Cartridges may pick up slight sound pressure or vibrations
of the speakers coming along the floor or through the air
resulting in howling. Find a location which is very stable
and free from vibration.
INDUCTION HUM
Induction hum may be caused when the turntable is install-
ed near a product which uses a motor or transformer. In
cases like this, move that product away from the turntable
or change the installation position of the turntable.

@ Automatik-Mechanismus
Beim ersten: Abspielen einer Schallplatte nach der Aufstellung
des Plattenspielers kann es vorkommen, da der Automatik-
Mechanismus nicht einwandfrei funktioniert. Daher folgende
Schritte ausfthren, bevor eine Schaliplatte zum ersten Mal auf
diesem Gerat abgespielt wird:
@ Den Plattenspieler auf Abspielbetriebsart einstellen und die
Tonarmiifttaste © auf Stellung “¥."( 2) bringen.
@ Den Tonarm von Hand bis zum Etikett in der Mitte der
Schallplatte bewegen. :
Danach kehrt der Tonarm automatisch auf die Tonarmauflage
zurtick, und der Automatik-Mechanismus schaltet auf normale
Bereitschaft.
HINWEIS:
Nach dem Abspielen einer Schailpiatte, die nicht IEC-Norm
entspricht, kehrt der Tonarm u.U. nicht automatisch auf die
Tonarmauflage zurtick. In einem solchen Fall, oder wenn das
Abspielen einer 17-cm-Schallplatte unterbrochen werden soll,
die obigen Schritte @ und @ ausfiihren.
ABSPIELEN VON SCHALLPLATTEN
Eine Schallplatte auf den Plattenteller legen.
. Die Drehzahlwahlitaste @ in Ubereinstimmung mit der
verwendeten Schallplatte einstellen.
. Den Tonarm von der Tonarmauflage @ entfernen und die
Tonarmlifttaste @ auf Stellung “V"(.2.) bringen. Wenn
der Tonarm Uber die Schallplatte bewegt wird, beginnt der
Plattenteller zu rotieren.
. Sobald der die Tonarmlifttaste @ auf Stellung ‘.W'( £1)
gebracht wird, senkt sich der Tonarm auf die Schallplatte
ab und der Abspielvorgang beginnt.
@ VORUBERGEHENDE SPIELUNTERBRECHUNG
Die Tonarmlifttaste @ auf Stellung “¥"(1) bringen.
Danach hebt der Tonarm von der Schallplatte ab und der Ab-
spielvorgang wird unterbrochen. :
AUSWECHSELN DER ABTASTNADEL

Falls starkes Rauschen auftritt oder die Wiedergabe verzerrt
ist, die Abtastnadel auf Abnutzung tberpriifen und ggf.

WARTUNG __.
1. Die Abtastnadel regelmaRig mit einer weichen Biirste
reinigen, um eine Ansammlung von Staub zu vermeiden.
2. Von Zeit zu Zeit die Abdeckhaube und das Plat-
tenspielergehause mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch ab-
wischen. :
ZUR BEACHTUNG
@ HEULGERAUSCHE
Der Tonabnehmer nimmt u.U. einen leichten Schalidruck oder
“Schwingungen auf, die von den Lautsprechern Uber den
Boden oder durch die Luft tbertragen werden, wodurch
Heulgerausche entstehen. In einem soichen Fail den Plat-
tenspieler an einem stabilen Platz aufstellen, der frei von
Schwingungen ist.
# INDUKTIONSBRUMMEN £3
Induktionsbrummen kann auftreten, wenn der Plattenspieler
in der Nahe eines Gerates aufgestellt wird, das einen Motor
oder Transformator verwendet. In einem solchen Fall ftir
grdfSere Entfernung zwischen den beiden Geraten sorgen.
