4.8.2. Calibration of Zero and Span – CPT
The settings of Zero and Span have been
calibrated at the factory. However, if re-
calibration is required, proceed as follows:
① Apply power (or use the manual override) to
drive the actuator to its fully closed position
(clockwise rotation).
② When the actuator is in the fully closed
position, adjust the ZERO dial on the CPT
board until a reading of 4mA is achieved.
③ Apply power (or use the manual override) to
drive the actuator to its fully open position
(counter-clockwise rotation).
④ When the actuator is in the fully open
position, adjust the SPAN dial on the CPT
board until a reading of 20mA is achieved.
4.9. Proportional Control Unit
[Never welding should be done while the power line is connected to the actuator. Electrical shock
can cause serious damage to the microprocessor of the actuator. ----- 17 Rev1]
