SERVICING YOUR GENERATOR
AIR CLEANER SERVICE
1.Unsnap the air cleaner cover clips,
and r
emove the air cleaner cover.
2.Check the foam air filter and paper
air filter to
be sure they are clean
and in good condition. If the foam
air filter is dirty, clean it as described
on page 41. If the paper air filter is
dirty, replace it with new one. Do not
clean the paper air filter.
3.
Reinstall the air cleaner cover.
Operating the engine without an air
filter or with a damaged air filter wi
ll
allow dirt to enter the engine, causing
rapid engine wear. This type of
damage is not covered by the
Distributor’s Limited Warranty.
