Follow the procedure in Table 2 to install a Scanner 1 module in an expansion I/O rack.
Table 2 Scanner 1 Installation
Orient the I/O expansion rack to have the open side of the enclosure facing forward
with the power supply module located on the left and I/O module slots on the right (See
).
Remove the Scanner 1 module from the shipping container. Set scanner address for
the I/O rack using the switches on SW3. A small slotted screwdriver or paperclip works
well; avoid using pencils since the residue can damage the switch.
Switches 5, 6, 7, 8 must be OFF.
Only 1 switch position may be ON.
Switch 1 ON = Scanner 1
Switch 2 ON = Scanner 2
Switch 3 ON = Scanner 3
Switch 4 ON = Scanner 4

Insert the module into its dedicated slot location in the rack adjacent to the power
supply. Orient the module with the module name on the left side. Align the module
printed circuit board with the card guide slots in the chassis. Press the Scanner
module into the slot until the rear connector engages the mating connector of the rack
backplane. (See Figure 2)
Secure the Scanner module top and bottom with the captive mounting screws.
Torque settings 0,4 - 0,5 Nm (3.5 – 4.4 Lb-In.)
