• One Scanner2 Module is installed in
each I/O Rack of a redundant system.
• I/O ports A – connects to CPU-A and
I/O Port B connects to CPU-B of the
redundant C75 Controller CPUs.
• Maintains communications with both
Lead and Reserve C75 CPU’s to
facilitate failover.
• Reads inputs from modules in rack &
writes outputs to modules in rack.
• Required for interface to C75
redundant controllers (cannot use
Scanner1 module with C75’s nor can
Safety be used with Non-Safety).
• May be replaced under power.
• Cannot use with non-redundant
systems.
Scanner 2 Installation Guidelines
The Scanner 2 module may only be inserted into a dedicated slot location in a Remote I/O Rack.
