Overview

The Hover-1 Charger Electric Scooter (Model H1-COL) is a personal transporter designed for individual use. It utilizes digital electronic gyroscopes and acceleration sensors to maintain balance and control motion based on the user's center of gravity. A control system drives motors located within the wheels, and a built-in inertia dynamic stabilization system assists with balance during forward and backward movement.

Important Safety Information:

Always wear a properly fitted helmet that complies with CPSC or CE safety standards when riding. Helmets save lives by protecting against serious injury or death. Ensure the helmet covers your forehead for correct fitting; an exposed forehead is vulnerable to serious injury.

Before operating, thoroughly read the user manual. Failure to follow instructions and safety precautions can lead to device damage, property damage, serious bodily injury, or even death. Use only the supplied charger (Manufacturer: SHENZHEN TIANHANGXING ELECTRONICS CO LTD, Model: THX-420150KV). The operating temperature range for the hoverboard is 32-113° F (0-45° C). Avoid riding on icy or slippery surfaces. Store the hoverboard in a dry, ventilated environment and avoid violent crashes or impacts during transport.

Low temperatures (below 40 degrees F) can affect the lubrication of moving parts, increasing internal resistance and significantly decreasing battery discharge capacity and overall capacity. Riding in cold temperatures may increase the risk of mechanical failures, leading to damage, injury, or death.

  • Familiarize yourself with operating procedures before use.
  • Operating Your Device: Ensure it's fully charged.
    • Stand directly behind, place one foot on the corresponding mat. Keep weight on the grounded foot. Shift weight to the foot on the device, then quickly and evenly step on with the second foot.
    • NOTES: Stay relaxed, step quickly and evenly. Imagine climbing stairs. The hoverboard may vibrate or spin if weight is on only one foot mat; this is normal.
    • Find your center of gravity. Distribute weight evenly to stand stably. It takes 3-5 minutes to get comfortable. A spotter helps.
    • The hoverboard is intuitive; slight motion is sensed. Anxiety can cause panic and unwanted movement.
    • To move, focus in the desired direction. Your center of gravity shifts, propelling you.
    • Tilt your center of gravity to move, accelerate, decelerate, and stop.
    • To turn, focus on the desired direction and stay relaxed.
    • WARNING: Do not turn sharply or at high speeds. Do not turn or ride quickly along slopes, as it may cause injury.
    • As you get comfortable, maneuvering becomes easier. At higher speeds, shift weight to overcome centrifugal force.
    • Bend knees for bumps/uneven surfaces, then dismount and carry to a safe surface.
  • Dismounting: From a stopped position, lift one leg and set your foot back down (STEPPING BACK). Then step off completely.
    • WARNING: Lift your leg completely off the foot mat when stepping back to dismount. Failure to do so may send the hoverboard into a tailspin.

Weight and Speed Limitations:

  • Maximum Weight: 265 lbs
  • Minimum Weight: 44 lbs
  • Maximum Speed: Up to 9 mph
  • WARNING: Overweight exertion may increase injury or product damage.
  • NOTES: To prevent injury, the hoverboard will beep and tilt the rider back when max speed is reached.

Operating Range:

Up to 8 miles on a fully charged battery in ideal conditions. Factors affecting range:

  • Terrain: Smooth, flat surfaces yield highest range. Uphill/rough terrain reduces range.
  • Weight: Lighter users have further range.
  • Ambient Temperature: Ride and store at recommended temperatures for increased distance, battery life, and performance.
  • Speed and Riding Style: Moderate, consistent speed maximizes distance. High speeds, frequent starts/stops, idling, and frequent acceleration/deceleration decrease overall distance.

Balance & Calibration:

If unbalanced, vibrating, or not turning properly:

  1. Place on a flat, horizontal surface. Foot mats should be even.
  2. Ensure charger is unplugged and board is off.
  3. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 15 seconds. The scooter will turn on, lighting the battery indicator.
  4. Turn the board off, then turn it back on. Press the power button twice. Calibration is complete.
