1. Be sure the power is turned “OFF” before entering or exiting
your Hoveround
®
. To locate the “ON/OFF” button on your
joystick controller, see the section on joystick controller
(page 18) to identify the type of controller on your power
wheelchair.
2. Flip up the footplate.

• Sudden change in motion, loss of control, or tip-over may
cause a collision or fall from the seat and result in serious
injury or death.
• Always make sure that the power is OFF before getting into
or out of the seat.
• Always fasten seat belt to maintain proper positioning in the
seat. Set speed/response control of joystick to minimum
while learning to drive the power wheelchair.
