Linear Regression
The formula for linear regression is =A+B
Example: The relationship between atmospheric
pressure and air temperature is given in the
following table:
The following explains how to calculate the
coefficients of the regression formula and how the
formula can then be used to determine air
temperature at a particular pressure (1000hPa) and
the air pressure at a particular temperature (-5°C). In
the process, we also determine the coefficient of
determination (
