deposited carbon film resistors for R24,
R25, R27, and R28 as previously described for R26.
Again common type composition resistors can
be
used for series pads provided they
do
not exceed 10%
of the total resistance value.
On
the "X10OV' range only, a fixed High-Q ceramic or
silver mica capacitor connected in parallel with
R28 will compress the high frequency end of the
band. The maximum value for this capacitor
is
300 ppf and any value less than this may
be
used.
This capacitor
is
not required in all instruments
and
is
not shown on the schematic diagram.
10) Replace the cabinet or the top and bottom cover.

REPLACEMENT OF R58
POTENTIOMETER
Replacement of the frequency control potentiometer
involves two basic operations:
1) The mechanical procedure for replacing a de-
fective potentiometer with a new one.
2) The necessary electrical adjustments described
in paragraph 4-13.
All
necessary specialized instructions are included
with the replacement potentiometer.
