Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 26).
2. Remove the rubber feet (see Computer feet on page 26).
3. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 27).
Remove the battery:
1. Remove the ve screws (1) securing the battery.
2. Lift the top of the battery (2), and then remove the system board hook (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
Hard drive
To remove the hard drive, use this procedure and illustration.
NOTE: The hard drive spare part kit does not include the hard drive bracket.
