TEMPERATURE
MEASUREMENTS
The
TEMP
program
computes
the
temperature,
in
°C,
corresponding
to
the
resistance
of
a
thermistor.
The
program
has
been
designed
to
work
with
ther-
mistors
exhibiting
a
5.0000
Kohm
resistance
at
25°C
such
as
a
type
44007
(-hp-
part
number
0837-0164)
or
equivalent.
The
program
was
written
for
2-wire
resistance
measurements
which
provides
ac-
curate
results
if
the
thermistor
is
used
at
a
temperature
where
its
resistance
is
much
greater
than
the
resistance
of
the
test
leads.
For
greatest
accuracy
from
a
thermistor,
4-wire
resistance
should
be
made.
To
change
from
the
2-wire
mode
to
4-wire
mode,
change
line
15
to
read
XEQ
”M40HM”.
This
program
is
useful
over
a
range
of
—80°C
to
+
150°C.
