Vent Enables airflow to cool internal components.
NOTE: The computer fan starts up automatically to cool internal
components and prevent overheating. It is normal for the internal fan to
cycle on and off during routine operation.

RJ-11 (modem) jack (select models only) Connects a modem cable.
(3)
RJ-45 (network) jack Connects a network cable.
(4)
Power connector Connects an AC adapter.
NOTE: The HP 530 Notebook PC does not support Smart AC adapter
technology.
(5)
External monitor port Connects an optional VGA external monitor or projector.
(6)
PC Card slot Supports optional Type I or Type II 32-bit (CardBus) or 16-bit PC Cards.
(7)
USB ports (2) Connect optional USB devices.
(8)
PC Card eject button Ejects the PC Card from the PC Card slot.
