Backing
Up
Your
Data
The
easiest
way
to
back
up
all
of
your
files
is
to
use
the
Connectivity
Pack
and
back
up
the
files
to
a
directory
on
your
desktop
PC
(or
onto
floppy
disks).
To
do
this,
you
can
either
use
the
Filer
or
the
DOS
Connect
program
in
the
Connectivity
Pack.
Using
the
Filer
to
Back
Up
Files
to
a
PC

Using
the Connectivity
Pack,
make
the
connection
(see
pages
90-93
for
details)
between
your
HP
95LX
running
the
Filer
and
the
PC
running
the version
of
Filer
contained
in
the
APF93
program
.
Press
[F7)
(E22
ERY
on
the
HP
95LX.
The
display
will
split
into
two
copies
of
the
Filer
directory
listing
on
the
HP
95LX.
Press
(EINES).
One
of
the
sides
of
the
display
will
be
labeled
Remote
and
will
show
the
current
directory
listing
on
the
PC.
Move
to
the
directory
in
which you
keep
the
backup
files.
Move
the
cursor
back
to
the
Local
(95LX
side)
of
the
display
(€)
or
(>)
should
do
the
trick),
press
(MENU),
(Options,
(D)rs,
(Y]
.

Move
to
the
directory
containing
all
of
the
other
files
and
directories
that
you
want
to
backup.
Often
this
will
be
the
root
directory
for
either
the
built-in
disk
or
the
plug-in
RAM
card.
Press
(ERED
to
tag
all
the
files
and
directories.
Or
use
the other
file-
tagging
keys
to
select
just
the
files
and
directories
you
want
to
backup.
Press
(F2)
(M=]ZIX),
(ENTER).
You
probably
want
to
replace
files
with
the
same
name,
if
asked.
It
make
take
some
time
but
the
files
will
be
copied.
When
the
copying
is
finished,
press
)}{F¢)
(EER),
(ERR
to
return
to
a
single
view
of
the
HP
95LX
Filer.
Press
(MENU),
(Olptions,
(D)irs,
(NJo
to
guard
against
accidental
directory
erasures.
