Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 26).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 26).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 28).
Remove the touchpad:
1. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (1) that secure the touchpad bracket to the computer.
2. Remove the bracket from the computer (2).
3. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1).
4. Remove the protective shielding from the top of the touchpad to expose the screws (2).
5. Remove the three broadhead Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (3) that secure the touchpad to the computer.
