Purpose: The document is intended for use by end-of-life recyclers or treatment facilities. It provides the basic instructions
for the disassembly of HP products to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment, as defined by EU
directive 2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

Tools Required

Screwdriver

Phillips head screwdriver, size #1, for disassembly tasks.

Product Disassembly Process

Bottom Cover Removal

Remove bottom rubber feet, screws, and the bottom cover assembly.

Side Cover Removal

Remove side cover screws and the side cover assembly.

Bottom Shielding and DC Cable Removal

Remove bottom shielding screws, disconnect DC cable, and remove bottom shielding.

SSD and WLAN Module Removal

Remove SSD/WLAN screws, disconnect WLAN cable, and remove the SSD/WLAN sub-assembly.

DDR RAM Module Removal

Remove DDR shielding can and the DDR RAM sub-assembly.

Motherboard and Power Board Cable Removal

Remove motherboard screws, disconnect power board cable, and remove motherboard sub-assembly.

Top Shielding Removal

Remove top shielding screws and the top shielding sub-assembly.

Power Board Removal

Remove power board screws and the power board sub-assembly.
