14 . The front panel displays the following message, check that there is nothing in the carriage path and
press any key.
If there is an error with the Media Jam sensor, the system error 82:01 is display ⇒ page 114.
15. If the test passes OK the following message is displayed on the Front Panel, press any key to
continue.
16. The following message is displayed. Make sure the parts inside the printer are not too hot. Cover the
reflector on the left side of the carriage and at the same time press any key to continue. This verifies
that the light going to the sensor is from the reflector and not from another light source.

17. If the test passes OK the following message is displayed on the Front Panel, press any key to
continue.
18 . The following message is displayed. The carriage assembly moves along the Carriage path testing
the Media Jam Sensor as it goes along the scan axis.
