5. The Printer will read the Red Reference and the Front Panel will display the following messages:
Starting ColorSensor
Starting ColorSensing
Reading SOL Status
Reading Registers
Switching on fans
Performing Calibration…
Reading Red Reference
6. The following message is displayed on the Front Panel, raise the Media Lever, load paper, lower the
Media Lever, and press any key to continue.
Be careful with the higher risk of a paper jam during this procedure.
7. The Front Panel then displays the deltaE value, press any key to continue.
8. Once the test is completed, OK will be displayed on the Front Panel.
6.3 Line sensor
Description
The test checks the communication between the Line sensor and the Line sensor NVM.
Procedure
1. Go to Diagnostic test>6. Carriage Menu>6.3 Line Sensor.
2. The printer retrieves the Carriage Sensors PCA revision and displays it on the Front Panel.
NOTE: If the customer reports color issues even through the test has passed, perform the
Color Spectrophotometer test on page 193.
