4. Use the Arrow keys to scroll to the “Service Utilities” menu and press the Enter key.
5. Use the Arrow keys to scroll through the “Service Utilities” selections and press the Enter key to
begin a specific operation when the required Service Utility is highlighted.

1.0 Boot Mode Menu
1.0.1 Force Diagnostic Mode
Description
The Force Diagnostic Mode diagnostic utility allows you to reset the printer bootmode so that the printer
will always start in diagnostic mode. This is useful if you will be performing multiple tests running from
diagnostic mode.
This feature is also included in the Diagnostic Menu.
Procedure
1. Go to Service Test Menu >1.0 Boot Mode Menu>1.0.1 Force Diagnostic Mode.
2. The printer asks you to confirm that you want to the printer to start in diagnostic mode.
NOTE: Once you force the printer to boot in diagnostic mode, in order to change the bootmode back
again, you must perform the Force Normal Boot diagnostic utility from Diagnostic menu, or if the printer
is still in normal mode from the Service menu.
